About this policy
Vey is operated by VEY Pty Ltd, ABN 88 609 477 830. This policy covers visits to vey.com.au and enquiries and related communications with Vey through the contact channels listed on the website.
Vey is subject to the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.
It does not describe how every client product handles its users’ information. Where a project involves personal information, the relevant responsibilities and handling arrangements need to be addressed for that project.
Visiting the website
The website provides information about our services and product concepts. It has no contact form, account registration or online payment facility. Enquiries are not submitted to or stored in a website enquiry database.
Fonts and images are served with the website. The website does not embed third-party maps, videos or chat widgets.
Cloudflare Pages hosts the website. Cloudflare processes technical information to deliver traffic and protect the website. This can include IP addresses, traffic routing data and system configuration information.
Cookies, browser storage and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand visits to the website and improve its content and usability. Analytics information can include page views and interactions, traffic sources, browser and device information, approximate location, and identifiers used to distinguish browsers and sessions. Google receives and processes analytics information, and Vey uses the resulting reports.
Google Analytics normally uses first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id>. Vey does not use Google Signals, link Analytics to Google Ads or use its advertising personalisation features.
Language is selected through English and Chinese page links rather than a saved preference in localStorage or sessionStorage. Menus, image viewers and copy confirmations use temporary page state. Your browser may also cache website files.
When you select “Copy email”, the website asks your browser to copy our public email address to your clipboard. It does not read your clipboard contents.
Read how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. On supported desktop browsers, Google also offers an Analytics opt-out browser add-on. It is not a choice mechanism for every device or browser. Blocking or deleting cookies alone does not necessarily prevent analytics information from being transmitted.
When you contact us
Selecting an email or phone link opens the relevant application on your device. The website does not send a message or place a call on your behalf. The Telegram link takes you to Telegram.
If you contact Vey, we receive the information you choose to share. Depending on the channel and your message, this can include your name, email address, phone number or Telegram profile details, your business and project context, and any messages or attachments you send. You can start with a general or anonymised overview. Without a way to contact you, we may not be able to reply.
Our enquiry handling is intended to let us respond, understand the work you are considering and discuss possible next steps.
Our mailbox is provided by Zoho. We do not separately export enquiry information to a CRM, cloud drive or AI tool, or pass it to external collaborators. We do not make audio or video recordings, transcriptions or automated summaries of communications through our email, Telegram or telephone enquiry channels.
Service providers and overseas handling
The services involved in website visits and enquiries include:
- Cloudflare, for Pages hosting, delivery and protection of the website and associated technical information.
- Google, for the website analytics described above.
- Zoho, for delivery and storage of email messages and attachments.
- Telegram and telephone providers, when you choose those contact channels.
Our Zoho mailbox uses the mail.zoho.com region, which Zoho identifies as its United States data centre. Cloudflare operates globally and describes processing in the United States, the European Economic Area and other locations. Using these services can involve handling information outside Australia.
Provider information is available in Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy, Zoho’s Privacy Policy, Google’s information for partner sites and Telegram’s Privacy Policy. These descriptions do not replace Vey’s responsibilities for information it handles.
Storage and retention
Enquiry emails are kept in our Zoho mailbox. We review annually whether we still need to retain them. You can also ask Vey to delete enquiry emails. Deleting an email from the mailbox does not mean every copy in a provider's backup systems is immediately removed.
Privacy requests and complaints
Vey handles privacy requests and complaints directly. To raise a privacy concern, complain about how Vey has handled personal information, or request access or correction, contact cs@vey.com.au or call +61 432 712 222. You may also request deletion of enquiry emails.
If your privacy complaint is not resolved with Vey, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). The OAIC generally expects you to complain to the organisation first and allow it 30 days to respond.
Sharing sensitive project information
You do not need to send client names, internal datasets, passwords or details of an unreleased product in your first message. A general or anonymised overview is a useful starting point. We can discuss confidentiality arrangements before you share sensitive project material.
Updates
This page will show the date of its latest update. Changes to website features or information handling may require this policy to be revised.
