Mobile app development

Mobile apps built around real use.

We design and develop iOS and Android apps around the tasks people need to complete. From navigation and everyday features to backend connections, we plan the mobile experience and the systems behind it together.

FIELDLY · Independent product concept

Where we can help

A new app, or the next stage of an existing one.

A new mobile product.

Turn an idea into user journeys, interfaces and a defined first release.

An existing app.

Add features, improve the experience or connect the app to updated backend services.

Mobile work connected to the business.

Give customers or staff a mobile interface that shares relevant data with a website or office system.

Development scope

What the work can include.

Product and interface design.

Requirements, user flows, prototypes and screens for the main tasks.

App development.

Navigation, application logic and device features such as camera or location access where required.

Backend and integrations.

Sign-in, shared data, notifications, payments or external services, according to the product scope.

Testing and release preparation.

Functional and device testing, release builds and preparation for the agreed distribution route.

Existing app improvements.

Feature changes, fixes and compatibility updates following a review of the current code and setup.

Deliverables & handover

Define the app and its handover together.

Deliverables are agreed before development begins. A project can include the app on its own or the supporting backend and administration tools it needs.

Product materials.

Interface designs and the agreed app functionality and source code.

Supporting systems.

APIs, backend services, integrations or administration tools where included.

Release and handover.

Release builds, configuration, relevant documentation and account or environment handover arrangements.

How we work

From user journeys to a working release.

  1. Understand the product.

Review users, priority tasks and any existing code or services.

  2. Plan the experience.

Agree the journeys, features, technical approach, review stages and handover requirements.

  3. Build and review.

Develop working features in stages, using feedback alongside testing.

  4. Prepare release and next steps.

Complete the agreed release preparation and handover, then discuss subsequent updates or support.

Technical approach

React Native or Flutter, selected to fit.

Required features, device integrations, existing code and ongoing maintenance guide the choice between React Native and Flutter. An existing app is assessed before deciding whether to extend it or change its technical approach.

Practical questions

Before we get started.

Can one project cover both iOS and Android?

Yes. We can plan a cross-platform approach with React Native or Flutter, including the platform-specific work and testing the agreed features require.

Can the app share a backend with a website?

Yes. Shared APIs and data can support separate mobile and web interfaces, with permissions and workflows planned for each type of user.

Do you help prepare the app for publication?

Release builds, submission materials and assistance with publication can be included. We agree the distribution route, required accounts and responsibilities during planning. Publication follows the relevant store review and the agreed submission arrangements.
